I am legend (alternate ending)

If you haven’t seen the movie this _might_ spoil it. It’s the alternate (and I think original) ending …

If you have seen the movie, watch it; it’s more inline with the original story’s ending.

I first saw it here:

… and it appears that it’s now down at /film …

iPhone Tech Talks 10-12-07

iPhone Tech Talks, on October 12th 2007 (at Washington D.C.’s JW Marriott)

Well, what is this and why did I go? The iPhone Tech Talk is a focused look at what the iPhone can do; and how it might be leveraged to achieve its potential for web applications. Coincidentally, this talk also covers the sibling product, the iPod Touch (in fact anywhere below where I’m referencing iPhone, it’s safe to assume that the same applies to the iPod Touch). And, in my opinion, it covers a whole movement away from WAP and other mobile web technologies toward the Internet as it will be seen in the future on almost every mobile device. The cell phone industry is about to embrace the software industry; and it’s all Apple’s fault.

Mozilla just announced they’ll catch up to Opera and Safari with real mobile browser technology, soon. (I’m honestly not sure where MicroSoft’s Internet Explorer is in the mix, if you know leave a comment below. Does Windows Mobile have a full-fledged browser?) Other phones are already popping up that aspire to Apple’s groundbreaking approach to mobile internet delivery. The fact is, the internet is starting to grow beyond the desktop (and laptop) to ever smaller devices, but with the same content quality. While retaining many familiar capabilities, there are some trade-offs and exceptions; more on that later.

iWhat?!?

No, don’t get me wrong, I’m not mad. If Apple drops the price of something I bought by $200, am I really so cheap & insensitive to fast moving market places? This is the revolutionary product that brought the internet in to my bathroom and in to my car (while I drive). The iPhone is all that it’s been pumped up to be and more. So no — really, seriously — I’m not mad. Yeah, the way they did it was so insensitive, coming so soon after the launch. The mea culpa was small too: “hey we’re sorry come spend some play money, err … a gift card on us … you buy buy … ringtones.” Another good pitch from Steve.

So here’s my pitch (if you will): to borrow some words from Steve, I would like to be “very aggressive this holiday season.” I’m going to try to recoup the money that I may or may not deserve, by selling some funny shirts. Yes, funny’s always debatable given my sense of humor; but if you want to help a fellow victim then buy one of my damn shirts (powered by CafePress) here:
